today i was explaining to a little ninth grader what indie music is and i mentioned wavves and she was like “oh when i was in chicago once, i went to lollapalooza and saw them. they were after eminem.”
i was like “really?”
and she was like “yeah. one of the guys had like this huge afro hair and the other one was wearing raybans and had dark hair and he played guitar and sang and they were noisy.”
me: “……………………you have no idea how lucky you are”
